MISSION & OBJECTIVE
The mission of the Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival (BWIFF) is to celebrate films from all around the world, showcasing them to the Chicagoland area for the benefit of the community and the filmmakers who are selected for exhibition.
Above all, the Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival (BWIFF) is looking for unique storytelling. We are looking for films that utilize the basics in a new and exciting way, presenting independent cinema that is fueled by the filmmaker's passion for the art without large studio support.
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
The increasing affordability of new digital technologies are allowing independent filmmakers to produce high-quality movies for as low of a production cost as only a few thousand dollars. With such technology right at our fingertips, there are so many diverse and unique films out there with so few outlets for exposure.
The Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival is here to highlight and celebrate these incredible independent films, with the mission to seek out strong, unique storytelling methods.
GENERAL RULES
All submissions must be postmarked no later than Friday, June 4, 2010. Any submissions postmarked after the final deadline will be considered for the following year's festival.
The festival does not enforce any category subject restrictions. Films can be of any style or genre. Above all, BWIFF seeks strong, passionate, unique storytelling. Each submission is carefully considered solely on its own merit by the festival programming committee.
Any and all submissions for the 2010 festival must have been completed no earlier than January 2007.
Film producers are responsible for all insurance and shipment costs. Although due care will be exercised, BWIFF cannot assume any liability for damage to entries.
